Meet the Artist
Lucas Megson is a studio artist based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Art has always been a part of Lucas’ life, he has been drawing, painting, and making art for as long as he can remember. Lucas is a senior Studio Arts major at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. This spring semester, he had the privilege of studying art in Florence, Italy. During his time at University, he received professional instruction in drawing, painting, design, and color theory.
Lucas is interested in exploring the human condition and capturing moments and feelings within his artwork. Portraiture has always been a pillar of Lucas’ art practice and it’s an integral subject to his paintings. He has recently begun exploring en plein air painting along with multi-figurative scenes.
